           The classic love song Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher  was written by Gary Jackson and Carl Smith.  Originally recorded by The Dells, it was then recorded by Jackie Wilson in 1967 under the direction of Carl Davis with the Motown studio band The Funk Brothers. The song  renewed Jackie Wilson singing career, as it became an instant hit that continues to be in the top 100 love songs lists today.
