Old Fashion Love Songs

Love Songs have assisted lovers in  expressing  a variety of  feelings about love.
They are so powerful that paintings and greeting cards
have also  been created based on them.

The medieval  romantic opera legend of  Tristan and Iseult
is portrayed in the oil painting created by
Edmund Blair Leighton in 1902 titled The End of the Song.

What makes a love song special?

Love songs have been written and sung for centuries,  in her article
Where do Love Songs Come from?   Allison Shrager  tell how the best  romantic songs are often inspired by dysfunctional relationships, she states;
"A love song is a snapshot of a time in your life.
These songs are powerful for the way they preserve an intensity of  feelings,
and remain potent long after the feelings of the composer change."

that express the importance of a Love Song

Paul William wrote Just An Old Fashion Love Song
in 1971,  the lyrics tell of how meaningful love songs are to so many of us.
This song has been recorded by several artists through the years
Just an old fashioned love song

Playing on the radio
And wrapped around the music is the
Sound of someone promising
They'll never go
You'll swear you've heard it before
As it slowly rambles on and on
No need in bringing 'em back
Cause they're never really gone

Paul Williams - Just an Old Fashioned Love Song (1971)
