The Classic Love song I Just Fall in Love Again was created by Larry Herbstritt who composed the melody, and co-writers Steve Dorff, Harry Lloyd, and Gloria Sklerov that wrote the lyrics. It was originally recorded by The Carpenters in 1977, however the song was too long to be played on top 40 radio stations so it was not released. In 1979 Dusty Springfield recorded it, however it was not released as a single and continued to be an unnoticed love song until Anne Murray heard it.
When Anne Murray recorded I Just Fall in Love Again also in 1979 the song became a hit single in Canada and the United States. This recording made the song a classical love song. Richard Carpenter eventually released The Carpenters recording of this song in 2004. Through the years it continues to be a favorite love song and is often played and sung at weddings.
Anne Murray: I Just Fall in Love Again (2003)
Dreamin', I must be dreamin'
Or am I really lyin' here with you?
Baby, you take me in your arms
And though I'm wide awake, I know my dream is comin' true
And oh, I just fall in love again
Just one touch and then it happens every time
There I go by, just fall in love again and when I do
I can't help myself, I fall in love with you
