The Classic Love song  Can't Help Falling in Love   almost missed  being included in the movie it was created for.  The song was not a favorite of  the movie producers of Blue Hawaii   or Elvis Presley.  Created in 1961 the song was written by  Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore and George David Weiss with the melody based on Jean Paul Egide Martini historical romance Plaisir d'amour from 1784.  In the movie Elvis sings the song to his  grandmother, but it became a popular love song  instantly for him.
Can't Help Falling in Love went to
number one quickly on music charts around  the world.  Through the years Elvis Presley's version of the the song has been sung in other movies including Coyote Ugly and Lilo and Stitch.  The single version of the  song  was certified platinum  by the Recording Industy Association of America selling over one million copies in the United States.

Wise men say only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay, would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with you
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with you
For I can't help falling in love with you
